  I can click on the link and watch it directly on my laptop by clicking on the video and waiting for the commercials to finish playing https://www.oxygen.com/the-witnesses/season-1/the-watchtower

  It's a bit misleading when you download the Ap. on your television, but if you look closely you'll see that it asks you to log in with your TV provider OR it also gives you another option where you can log on with your google or Facebook etc account. by going to their website and entering the code they provide you with.

  Coronavirus: Punishment from Jehovah and a sign from Jesus!

  the watchtower has taught for over a century that plague is part of jesus’ sign letting earth know he’s lurkin’.... combined with the recent acceleration by the chinese gubmint of ejecting jws from china, it’s no surprise that dubs are of the belief that ‘jehovah is punishing china’.. dubs must be expecting a few large earthquakes to strike china in the next weeks with possibly a war or two, to round out the pain of jesus’ sign to these wicked jehovah haters..

  Combined with the recent acceleration by the Chinese gubmint of ejecting JWs from China, it’s no surprise that dubs are of the belief that ‘Jehovah is punishing China’.

  How Many Here Remember Hearing Details from the Platform on Why a Person was Reproved or DF'd ???

  i just had this flashback when commenting on another thread about how they used to announce reproof or dfing from the platform.

  at least in our congregation, it was a dramatic event (this is what i can remember from back in the mid-late 60's or early 70's when i was a kid).. at the end of the service meeting, just before singing the final song, the brother would announce, "we have a letter that must be read.

  the "congregation servant" (my grandfather or later my father) would then slowly walk from the back of the kh to the platform.

  I remember as a kid they used to say what the offense was then later they started saying that "so and so" was df'd for acts unbecoming of a Christian and is no longer considered a good associate.

  Everyone in the congregation eventually found out what the details were because let's face it....the power of the Holy Spirit is limited to how scrupulous the Elders on the Committee (and their Wives) are, and whether their giant book bags have locks on them.

  Why do TV networks keep "bleeping" out Trumps comments and statement?

  i don't understand it.

  we have a president who is typically considered a model for what young people want to be when they grow up.

  yet, when trump talks, the tv networks keep bleeping out so many of his words, even on fox news.. why?

  I never got the impression from anyone that D.T is considered a role model for young people and I've also never heard him "bleeped"out. If he actually is considered a role model (horrors) and he actually is using foul language, then it makes sense that they don't want "young people" hearing this from their so called "role model".

  I've seen certain tabloid news broadcasts where they "bleep" out what a celebrity is saying even when you can read their lips and tell that they weren't using foul language. This is something they do for effect when they've got noting else to sensationalize the story with.

  Before cutting my hair my witness barber had to check with Bethel...really? Not a cult?

  i was balding and grey so i asked my witness barber friend to "just shave it all off" many brothers were doing the comb over which looked friggin stupid.

  but oh no in the 1990's this was rebellious he had to call a brother we knew at bethel to see if it was ok. we got his ok to go ahead but at the time i could help thinking about the no beard rule and how controlled and cultish we were..

  I recall a man with alopecia who came into the religion...probably in the 70's.

  Was this in the Seattle area? We had the same thing happen in our congregation.

  I always thought it was odd how they’d say, “Let’s look it up in the literature and see what the “thinking“ is on the matter”

  If that is truly the case, they must not have much confidence in Jehovah's ability to protect them against "evil spirit forces" while they do his work in that town.

  With jehober fighting for and protecting the Israelites plus all the natural elements, like hail stones, etc., at their disposal, why the f*ck did they need nearly a million man army? lol

  Why did he need an army period and why did he need to send stones flying from heaven? Was he just having a little fun with the Amorites? After all, in Egypt he had a single angel do all the necessary killing in one night.
